How come the PS3 Console...?

The 40gb PS3 Console was being sold for $699, and now the 80gb is coming out august 28th for the same price of $699, I just got a 40gb and now I feel ripped off. Why are they selling it for that price, and what will happen to the 40gb?

thats the same here in the USA i got my 40gig ps3 a few months ago now i see they are haveing a 80gig for 399.99 us so i feel you man dont feel to bad lol they no longer will have the 40gig ps3 anymore the new 80gig witch is just like a 40gig was replace it

40GB is not in production anymore. It'll be on sale till stocks last. Retailers probably will reduce the price. I understand you, it's a rip-off.

the 40gb will recieve a price drop. its cuz it came out early so thats worth more. i bought mine on day one for £425. (yes pounds, not dollars) $914
