Question:

How come the Searl effect isn't being researched as an alternative source of energy?

There's people that are building hydrogen, sun and even corn powered vehicles as a source of energy. So why hasn't the government invested money into thuis little known are of science? Do you guys think the effect is a hoax or maybe it never worked?any answers would be greatly appreciated.

I just found out about this effect through this website http://www.americanantigravity.com/searleffect.html

  1. you are right, great discoveries came for thinking out of the box,

do not put limitations to your thinking,  so there is a law NO FREE ENERGY who told you that it is real? what I think is that, the Searl effect is the source of energy of the ovnis, for what I know laws have been made to be broken, ok, you say it is a law of fisics, so what?.

fisics will give you the answer, just becouse no body have the answer yet, it does not say you can not get it, is there is a an americanantigravity corp. and they think it can help, why do you think it can:t

  2. To demonstrate to yourself that there is ambient energy that can be tapped, try running a steel wire along a fence line, and then measure its voltage and wattage with respect to the earth.

I have used simple testing equipment to test the electrical potential of a fence, not connected to any source of power, and found that the fence was generating as high as 3 volts, and as much as 7 amps at 0.4 volts when connected through a transistor to the earth.

I never did see a practical application of this, but it does demonstrate that there is some energy out there that can be captured if we use enough material to capture it. But to be sure that fence represents a lot of material to capture so little energy. We have to find ways to capture energy with low material cost.

If you can get Searl Effect to work, great. But this should be just a good simple demonstration first, not a lot of research, since most researchers will likely discount the idea as impossible.

  3. It's complete and utter nonsense (although pretty much the entire field of antigravity is nonsense).

  4. Sorry, it's a hoax.  The problem is the first law of thermodynamics- energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change form.  The Searl effect is just another name for perpetual motion, which is physically impossible.

If we didn't need to obey the first law we wouldn't need to drill for oil or build wind farms, we could just make all the free energy we wanted.  I could just put a wind turbine on the top of my car where the wind always blows 55mph!

For future reference, an easy way to spot a hoax is to look for repeatability.  A basic tenet of the scientific method is reproducibility.  If other people can't reproduce the results of an experiment it is not likely to be real.  That's how "cold fusion" was debunked.  When other people tried to replicate cold fusion it turned out that you had to add more energy than you got back out.  The "discoverers" had just done the math wrong.

Although you can't always judge a book by it's cover.  Here's something that sounds fake but is actually real, although not very practical: Stirling engines.

  5. its a myth carried on by people that can measure energy field with some home tools.  The most common is power from fences.  Well, sorry, that power is coming from man made power sources that leak energy.  For a real hoot, get a 36" fluorescent bulb and stand under a high power line, bingo, the bulb will glow.

Have fun with this new found toy!
