  1. This question shows a total lack of understanding about world politics at this time, not to mention the intricacies of why we entered Iraq.  Sure we can be brain-dead fools who sprout the oil mantra, but then we would also be brain dead fools.I suggest that when school starts you do some hard research into Geo-political and diplomatic moves in the current world situation.

  2. Because the products that China exports to the US aren't selling for $4.00 per gallon.

  3. china doesn't have oil.

  4. China has no oil, but they have nukes, and lately stealth bombers and a lot of cool new hi-tech toys.

  5. China is an ally with strong economic ties. There's no need to attack friends. Iraq, on the other hand, was an enemy harboring terrorists.

  6. Because we can make a bunch of money selling our goods to China.

  7. in the real world...one must deal with facts as well as abstract rhetoric...

without a major cultural change in China (a nation that still uses  WW1 style "human wave" attacks) there is no way to take on China without the use of nuclear weapons....or at the very least...WW2 style carpet bombing that will make the civilian tolls in Iraq look insignificant.

it's easy for people to march on the street and shake their fists for an hour...then return to their comfy day-jobs...but those in power know that those same people who demand "justice" are the first to complain about its price..

  8. Because the US would loose outright.  I don't mean they'd loose an insurgency or anything.  China has the numbers to attempt a defense while hitting the US at home.  Hitting the US at home is key.   If the US homeland where to get's invaded the US Citizens would roll over and surrender immediately if the chickens actually came home to roost.

  9. China does not have a mad man with 2 crazy sons.

  10. Because the Chinese practically own us at this point anyway, and it is dubious whether such an invasion would be successful. Even if somehow we were able to ignore the problem of China's nukes, they have a military bigger then ours that is relatively well equipped, and over a billion people that would have to subdued with a strong national identity who we couldn't really blend in with even if we tried.

Don't get me wrong, attacking Iraq was a dumb idea, but attacking China is the dumbest policy blunder any president could possibly make, and could possible spell the end of the US as a nation.

  11. China is a lot bigger and more powerful.

    I.e. we wouldn't stand a chance.

  12. because we haven't gone to war w/china yet. plus they have nukes. it would be a nuclear war. that's why.
