Question:

How come the chalk won't stick to my pool cue?

When i chalk it, the chalk just sticks to the top. So there is a ring of the tip showing, and it messes up my shots. Or, how do i rough up the tip so the chalk will stay better?

  1. You need a tip pick

  2. The tip is probably too smooth and you can rough it up with a little sandpaper. Use a medium grit paper and rub it over the tip 5 or 6 tip to roughen up the surface and chalk should to stick to it easier.

  3. A Tip pick is the best but a scuffer will work ok

  4. Has your tip been sanded down yet. Use sand paper or the have this cube thing you use on the tip to help it.

  5. Make sure you're also chalking correctly. Don't bore a hole through the center of the chalk with your cue. Take the edge of the chalk and brush it over the cue tip.

Scuffing your cue tip will help. Make sure your chalk is dry too. You might have issues if your chalk is too low quality as well.

  6. either ur tip is a hard tip  or u need to get a tip pick, 10$, that will push the chalk into the tip, or replace yur tip with a Morri 2 , medium like all the pros have, then have a tip ruffer fuff the tip soo the compressed leather tip will be referbished...   ,jess

  7. A Tip Pick is what you need

  8. have you tryed diffrent varity of chalk the cheep c**p at walmart thats $.99 for 6 chalks wont stick to my pool stick ether i have to use expesive kind but it works and you dont have to worry about sanding your tip and risking it to be uneven and hit crooked.
