How come the experiences with Capital One and other people are good and some are bad? I don't understand?

I got a Capital One card and so far I've had a good experience with them...or maybe I'm just being a little hasty because I just got it a couple of days ago, but I was looking on the computer for quite some time now and I'm trying to figure out if this card is really good or not, and it's scaring me a little because of all of the complaints but I feel somewhat relieved when i read about a positive in the card. If I am to cancel it, I don't want it to mess with my credit so what should I do? Should I wait until I find an error with the card and then cancel or just stick with it? I'm so confused...??

  1. If you use your card, and pay timely you won't have any problems.  If you don't pay or miss a payment then you could have problems, that would be problems you caused.

  2. The most vocal customers are typically the disgruntled customer.  Not every business can please every customer.  It may be that the reviews you read were skewed towards the negative.  I would stick with your card unless you have any problems with them.

  3. Disgruntled customers are 9 times more likely to share their experience with others than those who are very satisfied. Capital One is like any other card company. They have some good customers and some bad ones. It is one of the more conservative lenders out there meaning they are anal about increasing limits. I have had Capital One for 4 years. I cant say I am a dissatisfied customer. I use it sparingly and pay on time in full always. Most card companies are like that. They have good and bad customers. If you dont get yourself in a pickle, you should be fine, otherwise Capital One will be as much as a**hole as every other card provider.
