  1. it's illegal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. As a maintainence CC told her troops after a drug bust in the squadron:

"If you want to s***w up your life, go ahead.  But not in MY Air Force.  You are in charge of repairing and maintaining aircraft.  You cannot do that effectively while under the influence of drugs.  One mistake and the plane could come crashing down.  Dead pilot, dead flight crew, dead civilians because it landed in the middle of a neighborhood.  It's not about YOU, it's about everything you touch and everyone you come into contact with."

    'Nuff said.....

  3. Well, let's see-

If they don't know when they may be required to get busy...timing might be a problem. Hard to trust your buddy when all he wants is to look at the pretty lights.

" wasn't talking about rules..."  Yes you were:

they won't let them because of RULES; like rule 1 -

stay focused to stay alive. Stuff like that.

  4. Yeah that's what we need, a bunch of smoked up guys coming home pissed off because of the war and shooting everthing that moves. Sounds great to me!

  5. Hey Killer, Don't be down range when I'm smokin and shooting. I'll pierce your Nose for ya with a 110g. 270mag.

    Now to answer your question.

Because we are in a fascist type nation for the last few years. What God has made Doesn't make profits for drug companies so it remains illegal.

  6. They will be issued any drugs the military wants them to take.

  7. Military has a zero tolerance drug policy. Stressed or not, no soldier will be allowed to use a controlled substance. If caught, they could be discharged depending on the severity of the offense.

  8. "incoming"...can't take cover quickly if you are stoned.

Can't defend yourself or me if you are high.

    Thanks but no thanks!

  9. because its illegal, and there's better ways to relieve stress

  10. Do you really want someone high and lazy and oblivious to the environment defend your life?

  11. Sure you can smoke dope in Iraq, you just can't get caught smoking dope in Iraq.

As for why it is against regulation, for one thing, marijuana is illegal in the US. Even when states try to legalize, they usually get shut down by the federal government.

Secondly, for the military, image is everything. That is why dumb stuff like length of hair or how shiny your boots are matter to them. The image of stoner troops doesn't exactly invoke fear in your opponent.

Third, anything that decreases troop readiness is likely to be against regulation or illegal. In case you hadn't noticed, alcohol is also banned during deployment as well. This was true even before we were in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is based on the idea that soldiers that have to be ready to move out on a moments notice can't even risk being drunk.

Look, I smoked weed quite often in the military when I was stationed in Germany, but I did so in a way that minimized the chance I would get caught, and didn't smoke up during deployment (although I know one person who did).

  12. Because masturbation relieves stress and is their main extra-curricular activity there.

  13. they may not let them , but it doesnt mean it isnt happening

been there, seen it , got the Tshirt

  14. Because if the media got a hold of that tidbit of information then there would be an outcry throughout the world, and the US would loose even more of the little respect they have at the moment.

  15. Because nobody wants to have to depend on a weak drugged-up loser with a weapon.

  16. because they want there soldiers to actually hit what there aiming at.  ---~

  17. GOOD QUESTION! Honestly it should be allowed.
