  1. You make a good point, and thanks for the answers even though it's not my question.


  2. More exposure to the heat in your oven. Using a baking stone that's preheated changes that slightly.

    It's like a person getting a tan. The parts that aren't exposed don't get tanned the same way as exposed parts.
