never start Cody Ransom and take out Jason Giambi for a dayy. i mean ransom cant do any worse than giambi with runners in scoring postion so why doesnt girardi try ransom. 2 at bats with 2 homeruns? why dont you play that guy?

Because they don't want to pay a guy $19 million to sit his *** on the bench. It's really that simple. Even if he's not playing well, they're still getting more for their money.

cuz there done he doesn't care i don't think girardi and steinbranner (hank) are doing a good job with this team they shoulda gotten santanna and if they got cc from free agency this is there rotation

Giambi has to break his slump sometime. All players slump, but with an elite player like Giambi, the second he's out of his funk, he becomes instantly viable at the plate. Taking away at-bats will only increase the time he needs to break free of the slide.

Granted, the Yanks are short on time and Giambi is a soon-to-be free agent, but we're not seeing an Andruw Jones-level of has-been yet...

Simple-Giambi is paid to be there and Cody is getting the minimum.

Why be so in love with Cody? He hit two home runs and we don't know much else about him.

In reality, until a team is mathematically eliminated, you have to have your "best possible" lineup on the field. There is still time left, and there's no time to do any experimenting now. When they're eliminated, then you make those kind of moves.
