  1. Um, why are you asking this is Australia? You do realise that New Zealand is a completely different country don't you?

Having said that it is likely that the mexican restaurants have been 'westernised' like every other type of ethnic cuisine and as such have only a passing similarity to traditional recipes. Generally this corrupts the authenticity of the food and enjoyability of the dining experience.

If you want good mexican I suggest you go to Mexico!

  2. The Law of Supply and Demand. if enough demand it you will have it. Someehere a risk taker will see your question and perhaps open a Mexican Restaurant. If it's not patronized it will close.

  3. In my experience it's because Kiwi's don't eat nice food - they eat weird mush

  4. Because your in NEW ZEALAND

  5. there isn't a lot of demand and it is not the in thing at the moment.  The question is would they adopt true Mexican food, or Tex-mex.  The ones in Australia (there are not many) are Tex Mex and that is such a bad advertisement for Mexican food.   I've eaten in Mexico and it was great.

  6. probably because theres no Mexicans there!--or very few

  7. no mexicans

  8. really??? how can i set my restaurant over there..
