  2. because you might get up in the middle of the night for a glass of milk...

    BUT you won't get up in the middle of the night for an icecream

    the light is for convenience, right? :)

  4. My side by side fridge/freezer has a light in the freezer.  But, my upright freezer does not.  Never thought of why that one doesn't, but I'm glad my fridge/freezer has one.

  5. Wouldn't the light be frosted over? o.o Besides, I don't think a light would help keep the temperatures as cool as they need to be.
