Royals control everything that is said about them in the media. When they had that inquest to start about the death of Diana, the witnesses from France were denied entrance to britain at the tunnel, and the inquest was cancelled, and nothing was written up in the press about these facts, and the inquest was never later held. How can brits say the roy als have no power? They covered the whole thing up, and wouldnt allow anything to be printed in britain about what the bartender in Paris wrote in his affidavit about being paid to drug the drinks of Diana and the others with her.

  1. There's free speech in UK.

Speakers corner at Hyde Park in London.

I wish there was a corner here in Belgium like that!

  2. We do have free speech in Britain. Royals actually have very little power, and most certainly they have no control of the media.  This fact contributed to the press hounding of Diana, which resulted in the tragic accident.

It is interesting to note that at today's Service of Celebration for Diana, an invitation to attend was sent to the parents of the driver of the car, who of course died that same night.  This speaks volumes about the opinion of the Royal Family regarding press reports that the driver was at fault.

Her bodyguard that night did not drink.

  3. There is free speech and press in Britain, but the royals are different.  The whole thing was covered up because Diana was murdered, it was a set up so of course its not going to be printed.  Was an extremely clever plot and no the Royals do not have power like government, but money speaks volumes and talks as we know.
