How come there is no free to air coverage of the IRL in Australia?

We have 2 Australians in the IRL and there was meant to be a race in surfers but it got taken off just when champcar merged. But still why cant we get it free to air in Australia

You can watch it at indycar.com (click on the live streaming video) and if ESPN is broadcasting the race if you can get access to espn360.com you can view it there too same way as ESPN broadcast it on TV. I don't know if espn360.com is free but for verizon internet users can/able to see sports that ESPN broadcast on TV live and replays automatically when you go to the website. The site knows if you're using verizon internet.

  3. Indycar is favoring women drivers and Americans.

  4. For a program to broadcast on free to air tv, the station needs to sell advertising space, so that they can make money. If nobody watches the show, nobody will want to pay to advertise during that show. Who in Australia is would watch it, when we have such good domestic racing already here.

  5. Most of the time they stream the races on Indycar.com so that might be your best way to see if free..
