I swear i have watched every single round of footy this season and i havent seen the teams go out in their heritage guernseys and have a heritage round, does it have to do with the fact that there was the "150th anniversary match" with all the best players in the afl?

Dont think im stupid for asking this lol, its something that just occured to me..

  1. you can consider 150 match as the heritage round. so yes we did

  2. This year, as a league we didnt celebrate heritage, which is disappointing, but many clubs took it into their own hands to celebrate their history still. Geelong and Melbourne wore their heritage strips as the 150th year special, Richmond wore a hawthorn looking strip to celebrate their own long existence, Western Bulldogs also. Port Adelaide also wore an earlier strip later in the year. Hopefully next season we can return to the great heritage round and see the clubs in the old jumpers.

  3. I think they scrapped it this year because no one was buying the Heritage merchandise and with the AFL everything is about money. There was 'Tom Wills round' but I think only Geelong and Melbourne wore their heritage strips. Bulldogs also wore a heritage jumper against Carlton.

  4. Oh ya your right

maybe it had something to do with the 150th year

we had a Tom Wills round! does that count?

  5. They called it the "Tom Wills Round" instead.

  6. hey thats a good point, whatsupwiththat?! i like seeing them wearing the old guernsys. and i particularly like seeing the umpires wear white. so they can be called white maggots again, and not green or yellow maggots lol

  7. What happened May 9,10,11 this year? Why was Round 14 "split weekends"? What heritage since 1990? Yeah! Collingwood won the first flag.
