I looked at the 14 day weather trend for toronto, ontario and the outlook is that 12 of those 14 days will experience AT LEAST light showers. Were basically into summer, why are we getting so much rain?

  1. OK from what I learned in met school, it has to do with a cooling trend. and warm moist air coming up from the south colliding with the cool air in the jet stream. OK it may not be exactly right but it is close.

  2. Does anyone else prefer winter to the summer.?

  3. These are basically thunderstorms and storms that develop over midwest and tracks north east due to the jet stream. Some of the showers/thundershowers are from day time heating since the temperature was in the high 20s into 30s celsius. Its common when there is high temperatures its just a way that the nature balances humidity and heat. After Monday it will get better as the temperatures return to the low 20s into the high teens. You sure that 12 of the 14 days are light showers because the predictions change daily.
