How come trucks do not have warnings about wide left turns?

How come trucks do not have warnings about wide left turns?

most of them do they are on the back of the trailer

because making a left turn they have much more space to work with so they don't normally need any extra space.  making a right turn, their amount of space is limited and they sometimes need room in the next lane over.

if you draw a picture of a left turn and draw a picture of a right turn, you will see what i mean.

To make a right turn they sometimes have to creep over out of the right lane and into the left, to give the trailer room to make the turn.

sometimes when they do this, a car driver might try to pass 'em on the right, not realizing they're moving left just to make room to turn.

for left turn, they're already in the left lane, no lane for a car to try and sneak past.

Not all of them do and it's not the law to. It's common sense to know that large trucks and especially 18 wheelers etc, make wide turns. Does not matter which direction they are turning, they will still make a wide turn.

They do, if you look on the back of the truck you will see a great big sign that says BEWARE, TRUCK MAKES WIDE TURNS, if you can't see it, you need to have your eyes looked at.

Because they shouldn't need them.  Aren't they big enough for you to see?  Stay out of their way and let them drive.  Pass them when it is SAFE to do so.

Most do.And it says exactly that.Most cities have two lanes at busy intersections for left turns.Imagine yourself in the inside lane trying to make a left turn alongside a tractor trailer.The driver needs enough room in front of him to bring his trailer around.I will advice you to pay attention to this and  to try to sit back and not try to go pass the driver because it could put you in a bad place.

Because to turn left you have to cross a whole lane.  Although the turn is wide, it does not seem as wide as when they turn right because they have more room to turn.

Perhaps they should because of all the thickies on the road that don't give them enough room!

a signal light is all we have. and people have to realize that big trucks need room to make a turn. some times i activate my signals and cars still come around me. which is dangerous. give the big truck a break and stay out of their way if possible. we have to deliver the merchandise. and we have no choice.

Probably because as a driver driving behind one you should allow a lot of extra space behind the truck - common sense not to drive to close to a truck - or a car for that matter...

If a 53' trailor on the back of a tractor which makes it a Semi is going to turn, and signals, what more would you need?
