  1. i think they are two totally different things but same fish.

  2. because they use freshly caught tuna not canned, try fresh tuna on a grill SWEET!

  3. Ahi tuna is used for sushi, it's a higher grade of fish than the albacore that's used for tunafish.

Ahi is served raw, Albacore is cooked.

  4. Obviously, when you're dealing with fresh tuna, you're dealing with a higher quality and fresher meat.  Also preservatives and other additives may have been added to the cooked tuna that has set in a can since it was processed...not to mention, the flavor is going to be skewed when mixed with mayo and everything else you find in a tuna salad

  5. tuna sushi is raw fresh fish

tuna salad is usually canned cooked fish

one is raw one is cooked

    there is ur difference

  6. Its because thats tuna salad not tuna sushi.DUHH! One is raw one is not. You should even know that if you're going to ask that question!

  7. Well like mentioned above, the tuna is cooked and has therefor a different texture/taste. Also as mentioned above, if it's canned tuna, it will taste slightly different than if you buy it, cook it yourself and make your tuna salad from scratch. Lastly, you have to keep in mind that tuna salad has mayonnaise and other ingredients which greatly alter the taste of even cooked tuna.

  8. yes its cooked in a tin, but it has also been stored in either brine or oil, while sushi is just plain fish

  9. Canned tuna has a different taste than fresh because of the canning process. Not to mention Canned tuna has been cooked.
