  1. because thats how they can run

  2. Because they don't run off of talk, they run off of petroleum products. Any questions?

Also, I would like to have cars that are cleaner, but I don't see the point of your question as it is obvious. Talk is cheap. Action is were things need to go. That's why I'm buying a cleaner car. My current car get 40mpg but I think there are better ways so I am using my economic vote by going after those other means.

  3. You are missing the point. This is a green gas, and we are talking about green environment :) (joke).

  4. It they are giving off black smog there is one of 2 things happening - 1 - they have major mechanical problems, or 2 - they are running on diesel fuel.  Currently diesel fuel is being used in big trucks because it is cheaper and because diesel engines can haul bigger payloads than gasoline engines.  It's all about the money.

  5. Because they run on gasoline or diesel fuel. My cars run on natural gas, which is a much cleaner-burning fuel, way cheaper, and also comes from the good old USA.  Ford made my 2 cars in 1999 and 2000, and I love 'em! If only people would demand these types of vehicles instead of sticking with gasoline and diesel-powered ones, we'd be miles ahead in every way.

  6. Those are vehicles with mechanical problems.  My 2002 Subaru will burn off oil every now and then and when it comes out it is a small cloud of blueish smoke.  Nothing I can do about it unless I drop another $1000 into my car.

But yeah when you see the big dump trucks that do that it just dose not seem right.
