i just bought this bike there...a 20 inch mongoose for 90 bux...its pretty light about 25 pounds (but i stripped the front brakes, reflectors, chain guard etc) and the stem and handlebars are bullet proof, ive had a bike with the same stem and handlebars, its crazy how much you can mess it up and nothing will happen to it...

but see the wheels, brakes, pedals and the crank(its a 1 piece it sucks) are messed up and i think the chain is about to snap

how do you mess this stuff up? seriously? why does walmart pay people to put this stuff together and it turns out to be c**p

im not taking it back ill fix it myself...but still, like wtf??

  1. Hey listen,

Like they say, you get what you paid for. My bike is a walmart special and I've had it for two years, take a look at it. I overhauled it to my liking and everyone thinks I spent a lot of money for it.

  2. Wal-mart is the great corporate satan.

  3. Well if your anything like my cuosin you'll buy two of those b*****s and make a p90 out of them, and go on a shooting rampage until you get a bike that isn't c**p. I've seen people make baseball bates out of those c**p bikes. -_-. I blame those sweat shop kids, they need to have some respect for the customer. LmAO, joking..

In all honesty, I stick to name brand bikes (if there is suck a thing) mostly because they are specially made, and usually come with correct things. Moutain bikes are the only safe bike to buy from any store that is not a bike store or fitness store, mostly because if they s***w that up, someone can sue big time. Moutain bike tires that pop aren't really user friendly.

  4. Buying a bike from Walmart ? LMAO !!! They're JUNK, pal. Even brand new, they're junk. If you want a REAL bike, go to a bike store !

  5. You are not going to get much for $90

  6. because they are paying just over minimum wage to hire people who don't necessarily know how to do these things, they "train" them by other people that have been doing it for a couple months longer then them, and wal-mart is one of those stores that has a very high turn-over rate with employees, they can't keep 'em, so then they hire another person for just over minimum who they have to "train" and so on and so on....

  7. Given that the staff apparently have  very basic training in that sort of thing, trained mechanics do not appear to be on site & that the bikes are  being found in the "sports & TOY" section - it's not too surprising.

If you want to hear some real ranting about walmart bikes & it's service, go on to bike forums & do a search for walmart threads - it makes for interesting reading!

Treat what happened as a lesson in life.

For not much more money , you can get a good second hand bike, which will give you alot more happiness.

I know, I ride a second-hand Trek, which cost just over $200 (aussie) from  a bike shop, which has been really good to me.

  8. they are cheap bikes, what do you expect for 90 bucks. And also, the same guy that comes to there store to put the bbq s together also puts the bikes together. Like he really knows what he is doing.

  9. Everything Walmart and Toys R Us sells was made in China by 11 year old girls working 80 hours per week under sweatshop conditions. Please excuse them if they don't produce the quality that adults working under normal conditions would produce. Blame Walmart.

  10. First off Walmart has bikes made by young girls probley 10 or something in china (slavery) and i don't think they can produce high quality bikes like on danscomp. 2ndly wtf do you expect for like 100$

I know i bought my first bmx their what happened 6 months later???
