  1. This question goes to the basics of a person.  It comes from the idea of self.  The basics comes from when we are a child.  We have basic needs, but that can be violated even as a kid.  How would you know what is right or wrong if the attention you get is molesting, violence, or disaster?

  2. Yes, and people have always been traumatised or brutalised.

Eg. Sudanese may see violence as the solution to all their problems.

This explains why violence is endemic in those cultures.

How your parents raise you and how you see others raised around you influences the way you raise your own children.

  3. Since 3000 BCE, there has been a war going on at all times, somewhere on the earth, with the exception of a total of 34 years...

  4. Of course, but that doesn't make it easier.  I don't think there is a way to evolve to repel the feelings after a traumitizing situation.  They go against the norm and aren't even close to being what we expect and accept.

  5. Yes, but we are a product of the sum total of our experiences ever since before speech.  Then there are those who believe in nature over nurture, it could be that there are innate qualities that motivate our responses.
