How come we seem to know the full details of the woman who had s*x in Dubai, but not the man?

In the media we know that she is called Michelle Palmer, and that she is 30 and that she worked in publishing and has been sacked and that she faces six years, etc, etc. Yet so far, all I have heard is the guy was called "vince"! Seems pretty harsh that she is the scapegoat for two people's wrong doings!

He faces the very same charges,and the very same punishment, she is not the scapegoat, but really she is stupider of the two, as he was on holiday and she lives there.  He has at least a shred of an excuse, she has none.  She's a stupid cow and deserves what she gets.

He probably is just keeping his mouth shut and facing the music, where she is pleading her case to anyone who will listen.

This certainly makes a change ! In my local paper yesterday, a man was found not guilty of rape. His name had been splashed over the paper for about 3 weeks. His accuser has not been named "for legal reasons", lets be fair, this is the other side of the coin !!

Yes - you have a very good point. It goes back to the old debate - a woman is a s**t if she sleeps around, but a fella is a stud.

We do if you know where to look, he's 34 yr old Vince Acors from Bromley in Kent and is a divorced dad of 1.  And he's also being charged and could face 6 years in jail.

Funny how in the UK we go on and on about repression of Arabic women, yet we ourselves always pick on the women in stories like this.  Hypocrisy anyone?

Because a woman is worth 1/2 a man in Islamic societies. Where else except is Islamic cultures, is the woman who is raped, the one who is punished. The male rapist usually gets away with it or receives a lesser punishment than his victim.

Also, why is it always the woman who is killed in these "honor killings" when shame is brought to her family? Why do we never hear of the man being honor killed?

Islam is 8th century ideology in 21st century civilization = incompatibility.
