How come when I enter what I wrote it works as a backspace and erases everything I wrote in chat?

when I'm in a room and write something and hit enter it disappears, also cannot see anything that anyone is saying and I have enable chat marked

You might want to check to see if you have pop up blockers on and if your Java is enabled and up to date.  Either one of these can contribute to problems in chats.

You don't say what operating system you're using, but if Windows, just click on Tools menu on top of your browser window when you have Internet Explorer open.  Then click on Internet Options.

Click on the Advanced tab on top of that and then scroll down to see if you have Java enabled.

Also, when you open a browser winder (Internet Explorer), click on Tools on top and see if you have any Pop up blockers on.  You might need to disable it while in chat.
