How come when I tan in tannign beds the area right above my butt crack (like my tailbone) doesn't tan!???

That is a very good question...

The flesh there is very thin, and when you lay on your back, its being smashed by the tail bone.

I think that somehow prevents it from tanning.

Also when you lay down your cheeks smashing together may cause a type of shadow over that area preventing the light from getting there.

maybe try a standup tanner, or lay on your tummy 1/2 the time, so you can tan your tailbone crack.
