How come when a good looking guy is single, most people assume it's his choice?

The guy I'm talking about has many admirers, but he has been single for a while. The reason is because he is really reserved. However, most people assume he's single because he wants to be single- even going as far to say that he's a "player." Why do most people assume this about good looking guys?

The same way theyassume that about pretty girls. If a guy is good looking and single his friends think he might be g*y.. Its stupid!! Im good looking(i think) and im single too. I date often but i havent found a good connection yet. Its very hard to find the right person sometimes.. And i think that applies to everyone at some point in their lives.

MOST of the times yes it is actually true ...but it's wrong to judge people without really knowing them,right ?!

Because it's true about 99% of the time - that is why they assume that.  Sure, there are a few guys out there who are very attractive and single because they are just shy, but those guys are few and far between.  Here's a better question - why do people assume that when a 29 year old, educated, and attractive female is sinlge still, that there is something wrong with her?  And yes, I'm talking about myself ;)

Well, a guy is single because it IS his choice.  He wants to be without a girlfriend, that's cool.
