How come when i smoke it feels like my right hand/arm is "going to sleep"?

everytime i smoke my right hand feels very tingly like it is going to sleep... i heard that smoking cut the circulation off from your limbs?? why is this happening?????

  1. Yes, it can do this. Basically, smoke is a poison, so every time you smoke you are poisoning yourself.

    Try chewing gum, it won't kill you like smoking will.


  2. I take it you smoke with your right hand? If so, you may be absorbing nicotine directly from the cigarette through your skin. The nicotine in turn is making your blood vessels contract, causing some degree of numbness. Just a guess, of course. Try smoking one day with your other hand and see if the symptom shifts to it.

  3. Smoking causes a fatty deposit on the sides of blood-vessels. Eventually this blocks the passage of the blood and all sorts of horrible things ensue. I think that you should take this as a warning and get a doctor to prescribe medication which MAY unblock the artery.  

  4. smoking is bad for our lungs; cigarretes has a chemicals like nicotine and cyanide, are the poisons that can kill in high enough doses. You should quit smoking before it affects your health.
