  1. Because what you see in the mirror is a laterally reversed (or mirror, geddit?) image, but a photograph of you isn't.

  2. The thing is that when you take a picture of yourself by pointing the camera into the mirror you are not taking the image of yourself but you are taking a picture of your image, therefore your picture does not come out the way you want it.If you really want to have a good picture of yourself ask somebody else to click it for you. If you have any questions go on to wikipedia and go on to the photography portal.

  3. Mirror's are reflections, e.g Back to front, so a pose you pull in the mirror there is the reverse of what would happen in a camera.

Cameras (apart from traditional SLR's) do not have mirrors, they work on glass lenses and swews your image

    Hope this helps

  4. What you see in the mirror is in real time and light, when you take a photo the lighting and printing are different and also it is a frozen moment so it has an unreal feel to it.

  5. OMG

    i am like that to

in my photos i look hideous but my uncle saw me in real life and said your so different

  6. Hahaha that happens to me all the time too.  The only problem is, cameras AND mirrors are both known to skew what you actually look like.

Don't be too self conscious about it.  If you want to know which one to rely on more, I'd say go with what your mirror shows you.  It's a more accurate real-life representation of what you look like.

  7. Hi Fat L

The explanatinos here are out of touch with your question. A Mirror gives you a flat image of yourself. In real life, you are like a 3-dimensional photo compared to what you see in the mirror.

Another point is that, a person's face has az good and bad side. So when you look in the mirror, you might be looking at the bad side of your face which accounts to why people tell you differently when they see you in person.

WOW...you look great and not realizing that you are showing the other side of your face to them.

Take a pic of youself with your head slightly turned to one side but still able to see both eyes. Now shoot the other side and compare them. You will see what I mean.

  8. YOU HAVE TO FIND YOUR ANGLE FOR THE PICTURE, NOT ALL PEOPLE PHOTOGRAPH WELL IN ALL ANGLES.

    EVERY BODY HAS BEST ANGLE.

I REMEMBER AN INTERVIEW WITH SPANISH SINGER  JULIO IGLESIAS; HE SAID WHERE THE CAMERAS FOR THE INTERVIEW WERE TO BE SET.
