How come when i try to pick the best answer it says i dont have enough points to do so?

hi when i try to pick the best answer it won't let me But when the answer is picked the answer people whoever says next time seize the oppurtunity to pick your best answer whats up help please

you have to get to level 2 to be able to vote.  Earn more points by answering more questions.

You have to wait for four (4) hours after asking a question in order to choose the "best answer." That's to give folks a fair chance to log in and find your question. Many of us log on and off periodically during the day and we may not be online when you posted.

Once the four (4) hours have elapsed, go back to view the question. You can do that by clicking on "My Profile" near the top the page, right hand side under the word "discover."

Once you're at your profile, look under your avatar (photo) and you'll see a list of all the questions you've answered plus a tab you can click to see the questions where you were chosen as "best answer," the questions you've asked and the questions you've starred.

Click on the word questions and you'll see the list of your questions, click the question and it shows you not only the question but all the answers. There will be a blue box under each answer. Click the box of the answer you liked best. You will get 3 points for choosing.

Be sure you pick the "best answer" before the time for answering expires or it'll be too late, it'll go into voting.

IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH POINTS, IT MEANS  YOU WEREN'T TRYING TO CHOOSE THE BEST ANSWER TO A QUESTION YOU ASKED. YOU WERE JUST TRYING TO "RATE" THE ANSWER WITH THUMBS UP OR THUMBS DOWN. THAT'S NOT VOTING, IT'S RATING.

ANYBODY CAN DO THUMBS UP/DOWN ONCE THEY HAVE 250 POINTS. THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE THE ONES THAT ASKED THE QUESTION.

WELL I DON'T THINK YOU HAVE ENOUGH POINTS AS IT SAYS -1 BUT I COULD BE WRONG.i THINK YOU HAVE TO HAVE EN OUGHT POINTS TO COVER IT AS A QUESTION IS 10 POINTS AND IF YOU PICK BEST ANSWER IT IS 3 POINTS.

You have to be at least level 2, (250 points) to rate answers.

right on the bottom of your question, it tells if there are 3 more days to answer or less. for example, it says 3 more days to answer, so that means u need 3 more days to pick the best answer. if that's not it,then i dont know what it is. i know this because i'm in level 1 too and i once picked a best answer for my question,so it did work for me though...
