  1. 'it' doesnt do anything of 'its' own accord

  2. It slowed down because the faster you go the more gas you use up. So the car was probably running out of gas.

  3. What a load of old tosh these others are saying No car is governed or electrically impeded to slow down at such a low speed, if it was a high quality sports or luxury car it may be limited to 155mph but even then it wouldn't slow down in the way you described

He obviously took his foot off the gas pedal as he realised doing 100mph is a bit dangerous & at least 30mph.over the speed limit.

  4. cause he lifted his foot off the pedal some in turn allowing the car to slow down.

now if you are talking about hitting 100mph and then the car jerks, lurches, etc and goes to 95 then back to 100 then lurch and back to 95 again.  that is called a governor. its the computer stopping the engine from reaching a certain speed and in turn starts to interrupt the air and gas coming into the engine to make it slow down. Even if you keep your foot on the peddle, the computer over rules you.

  5. Where in this world is the speed limit 100 mph?

  6. It has a governor programed in to the computer. Most cars (except top line sports cars) are limited to 90 to 115 mph by horse power or electronically

  7. The engine will heat up too hot so the engine will make the car slow down then the car will keep on doing that.
