How come when you're in the middle of a game you get disconnected from the server?

It is very often that I'm in the middle of a game and I get disconnected from the server. That's very annoying. Is there anything I can do to prevent any future disconnections?

If you are talking about ps3/xbox than it is your connection.  But if it is internet games, you may have a bad graphics card, or it could be internet again.

or it could be just a bad games site
