How can you "hear" it, but not truly hear it. How come you can "see" it, but not really see it.

Like when you try to remember a song. You can "hear" it somehow, but you don't hear like as if it's playing on your iPod or radio.

Or when you try to remember something from a movie. You can "see" the scene, but it's not like seeing it in front of your eyes or on screen.

  1. It is important for you to know what sounds you are actually hearing and what sounds are simply in your head. Likewise with vision or any other sense.

Suppose the roar of a lion simply pops into your head, how would you know if there is actually a lion nearby that you should run away from or not?

When sleeping though, these mental barriers come down and you really can hear and see the things inside your head, this is why dreams can seem so real and nightmares are so scary.

  2. Wrong section, but that is how powerful the mind is.
