    this is a small country

  3. what are you talking about??

evanecene, tokio hotel, akon, black eyed peas, depesh mode, madonna and many singers showed in israel...

this month sean kingstone and snoop dog will come to israel

and in september madonna will came again and tokio hotel

  4. They're afraid for their saftey.

  5. afraid of Palestinians!

  6. they dont go to the middle east because of all the terrorism and what not. They dont want to get killed.

  7. The rock and pop stars are doing to Israel like they did to old South Africa.

  8. I'm not sure if there is a reason why they don't do as many shows in Israel, maybe they fear for their safety.  Israelis constantly live in fear from suicide bombers.  However, I wouldn't say they NEVER play there.  You should never use the word NEVER.  The only time you should use never is in this sentence.  "It is NEVER appropriate to use the word NEVER"lol

  9. When I was in Israel in 2006, 50 cent performed in Tel Aviv and I remember seeing posters for a Sting concert in Jerusalem.  Maybe not all famous musicians play there but the country is an active venue.

  10. Maybe they disagree with some of their policies. Australia isn't right next door to Europe.

  11. Many world famous stars have performed in Israel over the years; Madonna visits there all the time!

  12. They do all the time!!

But unless they're on "world tours" Israel isn't their first stop.  I know how frustrating it is though, even growing up in Canada, we hardly had any concerts (bit different these days though).

Unless there's big money in it, they're not going to spend the $$ on travel, accomodations (for the whole crew) and the special effects without a return on investment.

  13. Most do not support aggressive militaristic societies in general, what to speak of a "government" based on ethnic discrimination as a fundamental principle.

  14. Lene,

Most rock stars don't have enough of a following in Israel to make it worth their while.

EDIT: Nowadays, rock stars want a minimum of $250. US per seat.  That is over 700. NIS.  No Israeli would be stupid enough to pay that price to see a two-hour show.

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Miche ; })

  15. Meh I know how you feel, it's the same in Australia..

I guess because were both two, unimportant, unrenowned and pretty puny countries (in terms of population), most rock stars just think there's not enough money in flying all the way to Israel or Australia and performing?

  16. Maybe some of those "Rock Stars" see things in israel like most of the World sees in ...israel,LOL!

I am sure once the jews start following my advice in making peace and give back the land to the Palestinians all of the famous Rock Stars will come for live shows in israel.

Believe me when I say that in Norway there are so many Rock concerts every week end that someone has a real problem in choosing which one to attend to.

    bye bye

  17. They do have concerts in Israel actually. Where did you get the weird idea that they don't?

  18. Tack the "Black Eyed Peas" onto Valerie's list.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_8eImGbH...

“'We’ve been here for five days,' vocalist-rapper Will.I.Am called to the crowd. 'And that’s been the best five days of our lives.'

'Check this out,' he went on, ticking off the ways he found himself loving the country, from the landscape, to the tight-knit character of family life, to 'the most beautifullest women on the planet.'

They stopped at nothing. They spoke about the possibility of moving to Israel to live. “Y’see, I brought my mom and my grandma. You know, we’re Christian, but I think I’m gonna convert to Judaism …'"

Fergie called Israel “one of the most fun places on the planet.”

  19. Maybe their management see it as too big a risk for the possible gain.

By risk, I mean both physical, cos of the violence, and financial, because a number of other countries will object to people who've been to Israel.

Also, maybe they disapprove of the Israeli regime. I know I do.

  20. I wouldn't support an artist who would cancel a show that they promised to make there.

Israel absolutely provides safety for its famous people. Bush and other nationalists  go to Israel and they have a price on their heads.  How much safer is it for a musical artist with no price on their head to perform there!  It is absolutely safe so the statement that it is not is ridiculous.

I think the artists that don't go there worship something else other than G-d.  They worship the mighty dollar and I find that disgusting.

Many artists do go there. Madonna is one of them.  I love her music she is a very talented woman.

IF Bryan Adams cannot give legitimate excuse to not perform the concert he promised it would shred up any CD I had of his and mail it back to him with my opinion attached.
