You know when you're not looking, but you can kind of "hear" when someone has entered a room behind you? It's like an electrical kind of feeling... I can't explain it but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Is there a scientific explanation behind this??

  1. Mitachlorians!

  2. That is a commonly held perception that has become an urban myth.  The scientific fact is that we don't really sense events that don't stimulate our normal senses.

    Sorry.

  3. because the ambient background noise is bouncing around the room depending on the shape it is. when somebody walks in, the room is a different shape, so it bounces around differently, and you notice that, without really noticing it.
