  1. almost like a static cling.

  2. I think it's in your head.

  3. because you're not wearing your tin foil hat and it's the aliens transmitting messages to you via the TV

no, seriously, I think Rabbyt might be right...the electricity and parts inside are still functioning, hence the sound

  4. I think it's the humming from the working parts still going.

  5. yeah, ur just hearing the tv itself on and functioning

  6. When the television is still on, what you hear is the parts still working and the television transmitting the air waves. It's what some people refer to as white noise. Don't worry though, ghosts won't come out of your television and try to kill you.

  7. its melting your brain!!!

hehe and your hair sticks up to it when you go close.  :)

  8. There is a small, but persistant sort of high pitched beeping noise. You have to have extremely good hearing to hear it, (I'm the only one in my family who can..) but you can't feel it, you can hear it.

  9. I ALWAYS WONDERED THAT MYSELF... I JUST THOUGHT I WAS ODD.. I CAN WALK IN A HOUSE AND TELL IF A TV IS ON... EVEN IF IT IS ALL THE WAY DOWN... I GUESS U CAN STILL HEAR THE INTERNAL PARTS OF THE COMPUTER WORKING! MAYBE?
