How come you cant touch the lens on a radio? And if you do what would happen?????

I have always wondered why you cant touch the lens on the radio please help!

  1. you could smear it the lens has to be clean or the laser won't focus right


  2. This is a CD or DVD you are talking about, with maybe a radio builti? You probably can't even get to the lens, so don't worry about touching it. But for Gawd's sake don't touch it if you DO see it!

  3. Radio's have lenses?

    What kind of radio do you have that takes pictures or zooms in on stuff?

    EDIT: the lens that reads CD's is really delicate.  If you touch it you will most likely creat a little smudge on it which will cause it to not be able to read CD's properly
