How come you don't see any female rough stock riders?

All there I see is guy rough stock riders?

Can women not be in them or what?

Cause If I can sign up I'm going to haha

Yep, you can compete in rough stock...just most women are smart enough NOT to do it lol Just Kidding! But yep you can, theres actually a bunch of women who ride rough stock in the Dodge Rodeo Tour here in Ontario...some of them are really good too!!

have known 4 women bull riders. Its a different mind set for rough stock riders in general. The main reason you don't see them in the PRCA and the PBR is that women don't have the upper body strength that men to(although I have seen some to make me question that). There are women's rough stock events, and the women ride for 6 seconds rather than 8, but they ride the same animals the men do. I have seen these ladies out ride men in 6 seconds. They are incredible, just not as publicises.

girls are supposed to barrel race and boys do all the rough stock riding

i am a boy

i barrel race, i hate that stereotype and i can't be on the rodeo team in college next year because i am a boy and i don't do all the other stuff, just barrels and poles

you can do anything at any age, if you can find a way past that stereo -type

There was a woman a few years ago show was competing in bronc riding.  Women just don't seem to take as much of an interes.  In an interview I saw with this gal, she said that bronc riding is the hardest event she ever tried.  In women's rodeo they can use both hands to hold on and stay on the horse or bull, but in most "regular" rodeos where mostly men compete, they are not allowed they have to have a hand free.
