We went to an Air Show this weekend, and I got burned. The kids & my husband had no sun on them at all! What makes a pregnant person burn more easily?

  1. The new hormones make your skin more sensitive.

  2. The insane hormones whizzing around your body mean your skin is far more sensitive right now. Use a really high factor sunscreen if you're out in the sun, and a medium factor one every other time. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

  3. I'm soooooo glad you asked this question!!!! I'm not sure yet if I'm pregnant or not, but I've noticed that I've been getting a really nice tan lately even when wearing spf 30! If I wear that spf, then I usually don't get anything, but it hasn't hindered a nice tan at all! My husband even said that I'm getting brown like him and the kids (Puerto Rican descent)! Not to mention, my tan isn't fading like it usually does after a day or so! Just 1 more reason to add to the list of thinking that I'm preggers w/ #3!!! We'll see....

  4. it must be the hormones because a couple of weeks ago i was in the sun for less then 3 hours and i got baked. i am still not over it yet.

  5. I never have heard of this and I just spent a week in the sun and didn't get burnt! but it could be just that your skin in more senstive. A lot of women get a rash and things on their skin during pregnancy so I don't see why you wouldn't burn easier as well.
