I'm only asking because when i enrolled my daughter in 2007 to an US-Highschool here ( we live in Dallas , TX) ,we had to show tons of papers (we are from Germany ).

We had to show ;

permanent resident card

German passport

social security card

property owner documents from our house

documents from her former school in Germany

documents showing her shot records

So how does that work ,because illegals wont have such papers??

Excuse my lame English , I'm still learning .

  1. I just enrolled my child in kindergarten and they no longer in schools require social security cards so someone here illegally can get a free education in turn there parents do not pay for that seat in class,

You and I the hard working American pays for that seat, and I think that is BS!!!!

s***w the people here illegal, if it were up to me deportation is the only thing I can say!!!!

  2. As other  people mentioned already is a supreme court decission. and you showed your permanent resident card and german passport, social security card etc. etc.  because you had those papers other wise you could enroll your kids also even if you were illegal yourself. and not we do not use the parents address trough their kids to deport them all like in Germany. if that is what you do to others.

  3. you know I do not think illegals can enroll to a pubblic school,

I mean probably the kids have to be born here to have right to be enrolled in a pubblic school then even if the parents are illegal does not really matter, then I may be wrong you know I am Italian and I've been living just a couple of years here but my wife is American, or it depends where you live, maybe Texas has a different school sistem than New York, I guess over there the Mexican' influence has gotta be very strong.

  4. It's a supreme court ruling, who interpreted resident as any one living here, legal or illegal

  5. It's all about the money.

The schools are paid money each day a kid fills a desk.

  6. I am with you.  I don't understand it at all.

  7. It must be different in every state. Here in AZ we don't refuse a education to no child whatsoever.

  8. The Supreme Court case Plyer v. Doe rule you cant deny illegal aliens k-12 education.
