  1. I had Lasik done about 2 years ago it was uncomfortable but the surgery only lasts about 10-15 minutes. It was kind of hard and intense because you can’t close the eye they are working on so you see the machine and the laser going to work, but yeah kind of intense.

It took me about 2 weeks to recover to where I felt safe doing all my day to day stuff, but I do a lot of active stuff. After about a mouth I didn’t notice much discomfort at all and I stopped using the eye guards to sleep with.

I used a lot of eye drops my doctor told me it will help speed up the healing if you be sure to keep the eyes most also a lot of rest and just being quiet with my eye shut seemed to speed up healing and lessen the discomfort.

I think the less you strain your eyes the more energy they have to spend on healing.

The machine they use to do the surgery tracks your eye so if you move the machine picks it up and moves with it. But they tell people to be still as you can, it will come out more smooth and probably has less room for complications.

I have 20/20 vision now and love it, it was all worth it to me.

Most of the places will tell all the basics you need to know before the surgery but a lot of the cheaper and busier places won’t spend as much time talking to you and giving you info. So it probably good to do a little reading and collecting info on it.

  2. LASIK eye surgery is a medical procedure that can correct your vision by altering the physical properties of your eye. The more progressive LASIK surgery centers perform in-depth analysis of your eyes as an evaluation procedure to determine if you're a good candidate for the LASIK procedure. The evaluation process, which is largely controlled by computer itself, maps the overall physical makeup of each eye. A traditional eye exam determines your visual abilities and then an exhaustive computer analysis determines if your eyes can be enhanced by the LASIK procedure.

In the vast majority of cases, recovery from LASIK eye surgery is quick and uneventful. However, as with most all medical procedures, there are certain risks, but if you take the recommended precautions, you'll have little to worry about.
