How common is Common Sense?

Common sense is the "basic" knowledge & understanding of life that everyone SUPPOSEDLY has because it is so basic; hence the word "common".  The key word here is "supposedly", not everyone has common sense.  In the past, most people did have common sense;  but today this trait is no longer so common, it got lost in the fast pace of life, media and technology.  I also equate common sense to good sense and I find that people today also lack "good sense".  So whether it's good old-fashioned common sense, or just plain good sense, today we are a society sadly lacking in both.

It's not as common as it was once commonly thought to be. Not everyone is said to be common, especially those who have little or no common sense.

I think its our society now.  Parents used to teach manners, which happens so rarely now.  Common sense is the same...it used to be taught more so it was more commonly known.  Well, its either that or people just don't care anymore and/or just want others to find the answers for them.

Not very, but you must remember that the world is made up of not just one people and one belief.

Where something is ok for you may not be ok for some. Culture and tradition and practices influence people's thoughts. So common sense for you may not be common sense for some people. Think.
