How common is Is strabismus?

I noticed quite a few of people I know have this condition, so I wonder if it's very common?

  1. I have it and have a few friends that have it in varying degrees.  Most of the people I know do not have it.


  2. all squints are not strabis mus-- it is congenital abnormality
