It really depends.  Some people who are best friends their whole life get married.  Some dont.  I think that if you like your friend you have to follow your feelings.  Ask if he likes you too, and if you just cant do it, then you arnt ready.  But, most importantly, dont change who you are.  If you like him then make him like you for who *you* are, because i bet your an amazing person.
