How common is it in Europe and China to speak more than one language, program computers, and do car work?

  1. All at once?

    Well, most young Europeans speak at least SOME English and a great many are quite fluent. English is required in school from early grades. Additionally, many countries require a third language as well.

    As to programming computers and working on cars, I'd say somewhat fewer than in the U.S. (for cars) since Europeans must be 18 to drive. Computers, no idea -- most European have them, no idea if they actually program them! China, no idea either.


  2. most people will speak English because english is rapidly becoming a world language that almost everybody speaks. computers and cars are also pretty universal (well maybe not in china)
