  1. Koreans are aware that people in other countries call their country Korea, so when speaking to a foreigner they may say "I am from Korea" or "I am Korean" even though that isn't normally how they would refer to themselves or their country. Among Koreans, you will rarely, if ever, hear the word "Korea" or any of its variants in conversation. As far as the word standing by itself, do you mean if a Korean would recognize what 코리아 meant? I'm sure most modern Koreans would recognize 코리아 as a transliteration of the word Korea. I think some elderly Koreans wouldn't even know what the word Korea is, so they would have no idea what 코리아 meant. It really depends on how much English they know and most older Koreans don't know much. Hope that answers your question.

  2. The Hangul that you wrote (Korea) is not used widely in Korea. Koreans refer their country as "Han-****" and they also don' refer their language as "Korean language" (this is an English version of Korean language). They called their language as "Han-gu-ga". It's really uncommon among the Koreans to say their country as "Korea", but they do use this word to refer their country to someone who's not Korean. Among Koreans? really not common at all.

  3. Korea is "Han-ghook" in Korean
