Question:

How common is it too have just one dimple?

I know that about 1 out of 11 people have 2 dimples. But I'm curious about the ratio of people that only have one! I dont want to here you say they are casue by genetics. i dont want to know what casues them. I jsut want to know about the ratio of people with one dimple! Thanks

  1. In one large, study, 12-13% of children/teens had one or more dimples.  About twice as many people had a single dimple rather than a pair of dimples; and neither side (left or right) was more common than the other.  Gender (male or female) also did not make any difference in frequency.  Surprisingly to me, dimples increased with age.
