  1. There are some canabals living in papau new guinea, if there hindu then they ont eat beef thats all i know.

  2. Very few tribal people are vegetarian, you'll normally find a higher proportion of animal protein in their diet than is normal for the west if they still hunt and gather. The percentage of flesh calories in a hunter gatherer's diet is usually between 60% and 70%.

Pastoralists usually eat the male animals (no milk production).

Generally you only see vegetarian communities due to religious reasons, like Buddhism (optional vegetarianism) or Hinduism. Most tribes tend towards Animism though. So, vegetarianism is not common among South East Asians tribes and pastoralists.

  3. vege diets are common anywhere people cant aquire or afford meat

  4. if they follow hinduism then it is very common; possibly if they follow buddhism they may be vegetarians.

this is an interesting question!!! i will have to research this more thoroughly.

  5. Homo sapiens abandoned purely vegetarian diets about 2 million years ago, which contributed to our brain-growth sizewise...That is until recently, when certain religious groups have reverted back to it. Basically, it is the ape diet!
