old boy, greeted and chatted a little with his grandmother before called her. They were a little confused when they found she seemed to leave without notice, the boy insisting it was not a game. A couple of hours later, the family learned the woman had perished in a traffic accident in a nearby city, about two hours earlier. I would have said this was only a confusion, but the boy is not that young and he was perfectly aware of the day and time. Some persons commented me that this was uncommon, but has happened to several people since a long time. Do you have notices about this?

  1. Sounds like a crisis apparition.

    Crisis Apparitions

These are rare and last only a few seconds maybe a minute at best. They are called crisis apparitions because they only occur at a moment of crisis, most commonly as someone is dying or about to die.

The current theory is that as the person dies they instantly reach out their thoughts or spirit to their nearest and dearest in a final attempt to say goodbye. The recipient of such an apparition may see the person walk into a room, may hear them knock on a door which is answered or even see them appear next to them travelling on a bus! Most crisis apparitions occur in a sudden death situation say a fatal accident.

Another commonly reported aspect of the crisis apparition is that when asked the time the phenomena was seen it tends to match closely with time of death or time of accident.

  2. Congratulations! This experience was almost as if it happened to you. Since you know these people are reliable..maybe you won't HAVE to have something happen to you to make you believe. However...in a few weeks..you'll probably start doubting it.

  3. A skeptic would say it's a coincidence.Facts are easily confused even embellished. This tale is an urban legend.Get some folks around a campfire anywhere in the world. This yarn will turn up in one form or another every time.

  4. I am a little confused about this story, I had to read it like 5 times to understand what you are talking about.

The grandmother died? The boy chatted with the grandmother after she was dead? Could the others see the grandmother? How did they know she vanished without notice?

I wonder if the boy does this kind of thing regularly. I know a 13 year old kid who talks outloud to himself all the time, carries on whole dialogues acting out both parts of the conversation. If the kid is anything like that then it is probably just a coincidence.

  5. If I'm understanding what you've written (a little confusing), it sounds like he may have experienced an 'after-death visitation'.

It wasn't yet known that she had died when she visited the boy.

Edit: I wouldn't say it's common but not necessarily uncommon, w/in the realm of the 'paranormal'. I've heard this from several people...a few within my family.

  6. It is possible for that as you have described it to happen.

  7. Not common. I could accept this as having happened.

A little younger than that I carried on a full conversation with a great-great aunt and took her and her sister's picture at a family reunion, neither of them were alive at the time. It caused  quite a stir at the next family reunion after my father had the pictures developed and showed the family the pictures his boy had taken the previous year with a little plastic Brownie camera. A theological fight broke out and dad scooped up the pictures and put them away. (I saw them a few years ago.)

Sometimes things like that happen purely for validation for the living. One of the women that saw the pictures was very happy that the two sisters had found each other having died five years apart.

    Common no.

    Possible, -I lived it.

  8. Wasn't this in a Bruce Willis movie?

  9. Yes I beleave her son talked to his grandmother and it is possible because it happened to me when  I was seven I had a dream I couldn't wake up my grandmother and woke up screaming to her my mom came to check on me and asked me why I was cring out for her and when I told her she told me she was fine to go back to sleep it was only a dream. The phone rang my mom started cring and asked me how did I know and told me she passed away. I didn't know I mean in my dream I didn't think she had passed away but I knew something was wrong with her since then my mom has passed away and I pray that I'll have something like that happen again, I have had dream of her but she never talks it's like she's just there.

  10. I had a 19 year old friend who could sense and often see spirits, especially if the spirit was troubled. I was with her once when she encountered a nasty one and that experience made a believer out of me.

She was a strong "projector" too. We used to chat on-line late into the night. She was in college & had to use the computers in the dorm lobby. When she'd sit down at one she'd think "to" me and I would know to go to my computer and get online. I've always been able to sense when someone I'm very close to was scared or in some sort of duress, but she could literaly transmit to me from 90+ miles away.

That girls father had a 'gift' too. They were out in their yard one summer evening when an ambulance came down the highway thats about 1/4 mile from their house. Her dad stopped what he was doing then told her to go get her mom so they could go to the hospital because that was his aunt the ambulance was transporting. He even knew she'd been in a wreck.
