I am thinking of joining one this fall at college. I have never played on a sports team before. Just want to join for fun and to meet people.

  1. It really depends on the college.  I played intramural volleyball in college.  There were around 20 teams.  Teams were asked to guess if they were A, B or C level.  Some were very competitive in the A.  The C level was almost to the level of just fun.  I do not think they cared if there was a referee or a scoreboard.

  2. well in college they are pretty serious. it mostly depends on what college. ones with good teams are prolly more competitive.

  3. It depends if you do a coed league you may get one or two guys that always want to win, but usually the atmosphere is relaxed. The sort of lets just go have fun attitude, it's cool.

If there is an all girl league or something that might be more competitve. So if I were you I'd do the coed league.

  4. Well, a lot of people who play intramural sports played in high school. But a lot of the frats and sororities complete in intramural sports and most of they are terrible as well. I was a ref for intramural sports and a lot of them don't even know the rules. A lot of the times it's about meeting new people and having fun.

  5. no not really depending on the school
