How cool is Kings Island in ohio??

Question

i am only 12, my family might be going this august and i wanted to know if it will be better than Dollywood in Piegon forge, i heard that they run The Racer backwards! is that true??

also i wanted to know about the rides, and if it is worth driving from tennessee to ohio. i have heard that place is awesome!!

Yes, Kings Island is a VERY cool park. On 1-100 I would rate it 95, (second only to cedar point, which comes in at 97). It's definitely worth it.

About the racer... Sorry, but you missed out. Yes, one side of the Racer ran backwards for... I don't actually know, but it did run backwards... until this year, when Park officials decided to turn it forwards again... something about being classic.

RIDES... I have not been on all of them, but most of the ones I have been on were awesome. I would especially recommend The Vortex, The Beast, Flight of Fear, The Crypt, Invertigo, and Delirium. I have not personally been on Firehawk, but my cousin has and he says it's one of the best rides in the park. Also, there are a couple of nice rides in Nick Universe that are suitable for teens (or in your case, almost teens).

A couple more of the better rides at the park are Son Of Beast, Racer (now with both sides forwards =[ ), Drop Tower, and Flight Deck. Backlot is okay, but not very long or fast.

Kings Island is a very nice, clean park, with tons of great rides. If you do go have fun!

i loved kings island...unfortunately i cant ride the rides anymore. i get too sick.  the water park is pretty great too.  i definitely wouldnt drive all the way from TN just to ride some rides though.

I loved the Beast! It is awesome.   As for the new rides, I cant say its been a few years since I have been.

I heard that they dont ride the Racer backwards anymore.  Dont know if that is true or not.

You will love it, plenty of coasters to go on. I agree Cedar Point is better, but this park is 2nd to any other park out there, I would rate it a 95
