How costly is it to ship a package from Canada to the U.S?

Are the rates higher than shipping from the U.S. to Canada?

It depends on the size and weight of your package of course, and how quickly you want it to get there, but yes, it is definitely more expensive to send it from Canada to the US than the other way around.  I have done both, and count on paying at least twice as much to send a package from Canada to the US.

www.canapost.ca has a rate calculator that works very well. Enter the dimensions and weight of the item and its destination and it will give you options and pricing depending on how fast you want the package to arrive.

Depends on the company you use, the weight and size of the package, maybe the contents, the speed of delivery you want, the destination ... There is no one answer. You'll have to call Purolator, Canada Post, FedEx, UPS and ask specific questions.
