How costly would it be to lay hardwood flooring down? (More info inside)?

I have this carpet in my room, and I'm looking to get hardwood flooring to replace my carpet.

How much would it be to rip out the carpet?

And then lay the floor?

Not positive of the measurements.

If needed, I can go get the measurements. Just let me know.

Basically, I'm looking for an estimate on how much this lovely project would cost me.

A 12x12 room is 144 feet, they charge by the foot to install hard wood.

They start at 2.00 a foot and go up to 5.00 so research it and make sure they are a contractor.

Most carpets are easy to rip out-I use a carpet knife and cut the carpet in small manageable squares-and I carry it out of the house.

Wood flooring for a 12 by 12 room is approx $2000 to $2,500.

if it is just one room. going by a 12x12 room. and depending on the wood floor below is in good shape. you are probibly looking at 2500 dollars or more. to complete.
