  1. You would need to buy the equipment that has the ozonator lamps within a glass pipe to treat the water. You would need to buy a controller that measures the output of the lamps. You would need to frequently replace the lamps as their output (as measured by the controller) goes too dim.

    Commercial ones like those used for well water treatment are what you would need. They cost many thousand dollars and need to be setup by someone who is factory-trained. Chlorine (stinky as it may be) is definitely cheaper.

    There also may be an issue with having to get approval from local health department that might involve their needing to approve your selection and you presenting a plan for monitoring to be sure that you are keeping the germ levels down as required.
